BASKETMOUTH: My Friends Used To Pay Me #5 To Abuse Their Offenders.

Basketmouth said:
"I used to be a DJ, producer, comedian, drummer and musician but comedy finally brought me to fame though I loved rap music so much. Starting at first was not easy, I begged promoters to always perform in shows but I was always ignored.

I used to stand and sleep in the bus from Benin to Ojota because I was not able to afford transport fare. These were some of the prices that were paid to make a name."

He gave an advice to youths. He said,

"throw ten clays on the wall, one would stick." You don’t get? Okay, let me explain. What he meant was that he did music, comedy, producing, etc at the same time but it was comedy that finally brought him to the centre stage. Think on that!

It was really a nice time with Nigeria's funniest comedian, Basketmouth. He was very honest in dishing out his experiences and rise to fame. Dressed in a complete suit, he talked about how he to sleep in Ali Baba's house, washed his four cars and became his personal assistant because he was fame-hungry.

He gave some funny instances he always remember about childhood. Hear his words, "when I entered JSS1, a fight occurred between a friend and a fellow classmate. Some verbal insults that transpired between them; which made one of them so weak and sad. I went to help the sad fellow and washed the other guy down with insults. People started gathering and were laughing so hard. Since that day, whenever a quarrel ensued, people pay me #5 to abuse their offenders."
