By 2010, the eccentric producer decided to try his hands on the other side of the booth; by starting his own Rap career and Indigenous Igbo Rap has never been the same ever since.
With multiple hits to his credit as a producer and rapper, such as Anamachikwena, Man of the Year and Street Music, he has in a short time established himself as a crowd favorite with many referring to him as an extraordinary artiste; which is in line with the origin of his stage name “Phyno” gotten from the word ‘phenomenal’.
He is currently putting final touches to his official debut album titled “No Guts, No Glory” slated to drop before the end of 2013. However not many are aware that the talented young artiste got his first big break through respected music icons M.I and Mr. Raw; who supported and encouraged him to record his songs while he was just producing.
Phyno grew up and schooled in Enugu where he graduated from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu (IMT) with a degree in Public Administration. This “man of the year” crooner hails from Anambra state and also is the 4th child in a family of 5.
With his lethal combination of hard hitting lyrics, grit and ‘swag, this Capital Hills recording artist may very well be the latest discovery the entertainment world is waiting for.
